Fair Trade Freo and the WA Fair Trade Collective as part of Fair Trade Fortnight 2014, are organising Fairly Fashionable?, a headline challenge for local designers to bring focus on the difficulties of design and production in the fashion and garment industry
Designers are challenged to create a garment or fashion accessory (jewellery, head piece, bag etc.), in 14 days by incorporating in their design a piece of original Fair Trade fabric (supplied) originating from countries including India, Peru, Cambodia, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
Key Dates:April 17th: Expressions of Interest Due
April 24th: Designers collect fabric and have 14 days to produce a garment or accessory
May 8th: Designers submit finished item
May 9th: Fashion show at Many6160
